Why this page exists
A faceted surface shows up in every photograph of a finished case. The geometry rules behind it, the facet directions and the finishing discipline do not. That is why the image travels faster than the method.
Without a time-stamped record, the question of origin turns into one claim against another. With a record, it does not. The numbers above are there for that.
What it covers, what it does not
White paper
Puts the concept, the terms, the method and the dates on record. Published under CC BY 4.0: anyone may share, translate or quote it — provided the source is credited.
Patent
Governs the rights to make and use the method. Publishing the document under an open licence does not grant permission to practise what it describes. The two run separately.
This page
Is not legal advice and asserts no granted right. Patent rights are territorial; they come into being only when the relevant office grants them.
