LOVJA works the hardest tissue of the body with that same artistic rigour. It treats a restoration not as a spare part but as an object of luxury integrated into the body.
Surface engineering
What governs the perception of beauty is light. We have no chance of controlling the light in a room — but we can control how that light behaves on the surface of a tooth.
That is our work: to purify and direct light by designing the geometry of the surface, the direction of its facets and the transitions of its curves. The result is not an accidental gleam but a brilliance whose character was decided in advance.
We read a tooth in three zones
No glaze is used on Laitarc and Lovja surfaces; our own polishing technique is.
- Inner surfaces — unseen, organic, finished with conventional glaze
- Laitarc — the transition surface, answering to the girdle of a brilliant
- Outer surfaces — seen, mathematical; where Lovja works
The Elter polish
If the Zaratsu polish is Seiko’s signature, the Elter polish is ours. The difference is measurable: glaze wears, scratches and loses its life over time.
On a surface without glaze there is no layer left to wear. The hardest state of the ceramic meets the world directly — which raises resistance to scratching to its highest. The tooth keeps its first day for a lifetime.
Hygienic luxury
A flawless polish brings more than brilliance; it removes the roughness that bacterial plaque needs to hold on. The smoother the surface meeting the gum, the calmer the gum stays.
The restoration is easier to clean, gingival health is preserved and service life is longer. Here luxury has a medical counterpart.
2,500 a year — the number is deliberate
- A Lovja takes four times as long as a standard restoration
- Each tooth goes under magnification 200–300 times for surface control
- A restoration leaves the laboratory only if it is flawless under magnification too
Why the brilliance does not age
In traditional dentistry brilliance fades with time, and the cause is the surface: polishes dull, glaze erodes, micro-scratches accumulate. What is lost is not the tooth but the tooth's answer to light.
In Lovja brilliance is not a layer. A monolithic body and the geometry of the surface itself direct the light — there is no separate coating to wear away, chip or go matt.
Brilliance therefore stays integral, stable, resistant and non-degradable. After years of use a Lovja smile looks as radiant as it did on day one.
